Privacy policy

This policy describes version 1.0.0 of Snappy Do It, which appears as Snappy Do inside the app, and this website.

Last updated

In short

  • Your notes, tasks, plans, budgets, study cards, prompts, recordings and activity history are stored on your device.
  • You don’t need an account, and we don’t receive your content.
  • There is no advertising. Google ML Kit on Android collects technical diagnostics; your captured images and text are processed on your device. This website does not use visitor cookies or tracking.
  • AI features inside the app aren’t active in this release.

Who we are

Snappy Do It is published by TECH HAS NO FACE LIMITED (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app and visit snappydoit.com.

Your content stays on your device

Notes, task lists, plans, budgets, study drafts, prompt drafts, recordings and the activity history inside the app are stored locally. This release does not send this content to our servers and does not include advertising. The Android text recognition SDK collects technical diagnostics as described below.

Activity insights describe your use inside the app and remain on your device. The app doesn’t require an account, so we don’t hold a profile about you.

Permissions you control

  • Camera and photos let you capture or select images for text recognition.
  • Microphone is used when you record audio.
  • Speech recognition (iOS) is used when you ask the app to transcribe a recording.
  • Calendar access displays events in Planner without editing your source calendar.
  • Notifications are used for reminders.

You can change permissions at any time in your device settings. If you turn one off, only the feature that needs it stops working.

Text recognition and transcription

Photo text recognition is processed on your device using Apple Vision on iOS and Google ML Kit on Android. On iOS, supported speech transcription requests recognition on your device. Its availability depends on your device and language. Transcription of saved audio is not currently available on Android.

Google ML Kit on Android collects device and app information, per installation identifiers, performance metrics, API configuration, input and output sizes, feature events and error codes for diagnostics and usage analytics. Google states this data is encrypted in transit and is not transferred to third parties. The images, recognized text and recognition outputs are processed on your device and are not sent to Google by ML Kit. See Google’s ML Kit disclosure and terms and privacy information. Apple device services are covered by Apple’s own terms and privacy policies.

Sharing and external tools

When you choose Share, your device lets you select a destination. That destination’s privacy rules apply to what you share.

Copying a prompt does not automatically send it to an AI provider. If you paste it into another app or service, that service’s privacy rules apply.

AI features

AI generation inside the app and AI subscriptions are not active in this release. In the app, they’re marked Coming soon. If we introduce AI features in future, we’ll update this policy before they’re available and explain what data they use.

Device backups

Because your content is stored in the app’s local storage, it may be included in backups your device makes, for example iCloud or Google device backups, depending on your device settings. Those backups are managed by Apple or Google under their terms, not by us. You can manage backups in your device settings.

Retention and deletion

Content remains on your device until you remove it. Items moved to Trash remain recoverable in the app.

Removing the app removes its local app storage, subject to your operating system’s backup and restore settings. Copies you shared or backed up may remain outside the app.

Because we don’t receive your app content, we can’t access, export or delete it for you. It’s under your control on your device.

Store purchases

Apple and Google handle purchases through your store account. Snappy Do It does not collect your payment card details.
